Controlls sucked, how come you cant hurt them if you attack them when theyre attacking you? Thats complete crap, you just gotta wait for them to do special moves each time, block the same thing each time and then attack them with some lame slash. Cmon dude, you put alot of effort into this but then you just left it when it could have been way better.

Graphics were sub par, needs music, style was pretty nice, i like these kinda games... violence sucked, no blood or anything, and random water kills all your infantry? Thats just stupid... plus it was so easy just build archers all the way, one of my archers kills the castle ion like 5 seconds on level 15... so yea, make it better.

I can see you put a lot of effort into this, but the controlls were awful. Like, 10 different keys to press, all in random places... whatsup with that? And then in the battle mode, enemies do twice your dmg, grass randomly pops up in your face etc... overall you could have made this good if you stopped when it was simple.
again, the controls were comfort for many people and the grass is not randomaly, there is a grass counter at the top of the screen.
Next time read the instructions, lame.

I got 1098... then it spawned a lvl 9 on me. Do you mind if i fix this game up for you? I could make some pretty decent graphics for it and fix the bugs.

That was pretty sweet.
There is just one problem however, all this was useless to me as i cannot draw for toffee :P. If i could draw im sure this would be hella useful.
However the masking thing was pretty cool, i may try that out sometime.
However, these things take so much time, and seenas i spend basically all my time studying/working on my MMORPG, i have little time to work on my flash skills, although i am getting better!
Anyway, good job on this, great tutorial :D. Next time maybe you could write one on telling us how to draw and optimize shadowing, and maybe one on actionscript? :).
Learning to draw came first loooong before flash. Which MMORPG?
hmm... shadowing is a possibility. however I know jack crap about action script. We'll see what happens though.

Not bad...
...but it needs more variation. i.e. more levels? A points system? Make it possible to lose/win? Etc...
It also needs sound, deffo!
Add those and it would be better, maybe also "umberella powerups" like bigger, smaller etc.
